The Process
We specialize in the public notification requirements involved in city permit applications in the state of California, as well as for California Coastal Commission and ABC Licensing. These requirements can include radius maps from the exterior boundaries of the subject property, mailing labels for owners and tenants residing within that radius, as well as a statement that all information is from the most recent data available from the County Assessor’s office. Sometimes you are required to assemble the notification mailers and mail them yourself, other times the City or other Government Agency will mail the notices.
Many people don’t know that this process exists until they’ve started a permit or licensing application. Among what can feel like a sea of requests, the government staff informs you that your project requires public notification. The purpose is to notify your neighbors by mail, newspaper, and via an onsite posting of your application as well as the date of a public hearing.
